One of the most frequent topics that appears on TV is about conserving the environment. Many activities that are done by humans are having many negative effects on the environment around us. This change in environment can have a massive effect on the ecosystem in the environment. To prevent the ecosystem being destroyed, it is important to know what causes the harm on the environment.

One of the ways that humans propose a danger to the environment is through the greenhouse gases released by daily human activities. As the humans run the factories, drive the cars, generate electricity, etc, many greenhouse gases are released due to the fact that fossil fuels are being burned to provide the energy for these activities. The carbon dioxide, a type of greenhouse gas, released from the burning of fossil fuels has resulted in serious damages to the environment. The carbon dioxide is one of the main causes of global warming, which is severely affecting the arctic areas on Earth. Also, the carbon dioxide gas gets melted into a form of precipitation, which causes led to precipitations like the acid rain that harms the environment as it reaches the ground.
Another way that humans propose a threat to the environment is through deforestation. Wood has become a very essential part of human activity. It provides the building materials for houses, provides insulation when it is cold outside, and it is even used to sometimes cook the food that people consume. Also, clearing up forests provides more ares for human population to spread out and develop, which opens many opportunities economically. However, the deforestation caused the habitat for many animals to be destroyed. This loss of habitat is deadly to the animal populations in the area as it limits the resources they can receive and destroys their shelter.
Another way that humans propose a threat to the environment is through pollution. Humans use many chemicals and produce a lot of wastes in the process of providing the materials for themselves. For example, pesticides are used to grow crops. Also, there are wastes constantly produced as factories produce goods. These chemicals and wastes can pollute the soil and the bodies of water when released into the environment. The soil and water pollution caused by the chemicals and wastes can impede with the ability of plants to survive and the animals to live. Also, if the pollutants end up in the food and water that humans consume, then many people may even die from it.
