Meet The SNHS Team
Welcome to our 2020-2021 Northview SNHS Officers!
Khushi Afre
President
Hello! I'm Khushi and a senior. This is my second year as President for SNHS and I oversee event organization and daily club operations! My favorite thing about science is the objectivity behind its reasoning and the limitless possibilities of its study! I enjoy learning about the building blocks of our world and am especially fascinated with the science behind our thinking, implicit biases, and eugenic predispositions.

Somya Mittal
Vice President - Events
I enjoy science because whether I am doing research and discovering something new or learning about a well known topic in my classes, I can clearly see the positive impacts forward strides in science can have on the world. I hope that in the future my contributions to the scientific community, whether big or small, can improve the world for future generations.

Chandler Stevenson
Vice President - Media
For me, science is like a puzzle waiting to be solved. It's led me to create the unthinkable and solve the problems of today and formulate for the inquisitions of the future. Science has become my passion, one in which I hope to serve those around me for the betterment of my community.
Tedd Jung
Secretary
I enjoy science simply because it's everywhere; without science, we cannot be alive right now. I want to teach other students how important science is to our daily lives, which is the main purpose of the Science National Honors Society.

William Shi
Physics Subject Captain
Hi! I'm William Shi, I'm a senior, and I'm the physics captain for SNHS. My favorite aspect of science is how a lot of results and theorems are intuitive, logical, precisely quantifiable, and widely applicable. All of these qualities together makes the sciences unusually elegant and enjoyable subjects to study.

Tina Dong
Chemistry Subject Captain
I love science for the unlimited number of possibilities it poses. There’s never an end to innovations and a small discovery in the research of cells and atoms could wield the key to improving humanity and everyone’s lives. Whereas other things we learn in school will most likely be forgotten and never used, science will always be directly impactful and applicable to our lives. A small step in scientific innovation is truly a huge leap for humanity!

Emily Liu
Biology Subject Captain
Science is what lies underneath everything we think we know about the world. I think that’s something worth learning!
